ECCAC Young Ambassador Board members
Our young ambassadors will help support the purpose and objectives of ECCAC and spread awareness of our mission through targeted service, social happenings, and community outreach.
Also, they will raise monies through interactive fundraising activities. Young Ambassadors must be between the ages of 21 and 40 years old.
The term to serve is one year and members are requested to attend at least eight of the monthly meetings. ECCAC is seeking more Young Ambassadors to serve on the board. Danielle was born and raised in Kansas, but has made the Emerald Coast her home since 2017. Her husband is active duty in the Army, which has allowed them to live in different areas around the country.
She has her Bachelors in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources Management from Fort Hays State University. She is the Director of the Bill & Dianne Campbell Charitable Trust, and volunteers at the CAC and other local non-profits.
She enjoys being involved in the community and giving back as much as possible. In her free time she loves the beach, cooking, & traveling with her husband and daughter.
Allison Brelia is a genuine and caring counselor at True Joy Counseling and Consulting in Niceville, Florida. She is a Fort Walton Beach native who received her Bachelors and Masters of Social Work from Florida State University. Allison has worked in the Juvenile Justice System and with the Department of Children and Families before moving into private practice here in Niceville. She has a passion for advocating for those who cannot advocate for themselves and is excited to dedicate her time to the Emerald Coast Children's Advocacy Center.
Erin Hoover moved to the Emerald Coast in early 2017 with her family. She is a clinical social worker at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center in the Psychiatric Treatment Center with experience in psychotherapy with children and adults, crisis intervention, program development, and community education. She enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time outside with her family and two dogs. In her work, Erin has seen the life-changing impact of child-friendly services like those provided by ECCAC. As a Young Ambassador Board member, she looks forward to supporting ECCAC's distinct mission of serving and protecting children in our community.
William Corbin Miller, but his friends call him Corbin. He spent his childhood as a military dependent, which gave him the incredible opportunity to travel the world. Travel became one of his biggest passions in life and he attempts to continue to travel every chance he gets.
After his undergraduate degree from the University of West Florida, he worked as the Legal Assistant at the General Counsel’s Office at UWF until he attended law school. He is an Assistant State Prosecutor in the 1st Judicial Circuit. He graduated from Barry Law School not only with his Juris Doctorate, but also an Honors Certificate in Environmental Law. He has a dream and the ambition to give back and make change in the community that began in school and continued after graduation.
Raised in the South, Hospitality was a way of life for Leighann Elliott. Leighann Elliott, 23, is originally from Atlanta, Georgia where she grew up in a large family. As she grew older, her passion for the event industry, serving others, and need for travel fueled her interest in Hospitality. After graduating from Auburn University with a Hospitality Management degree in May 2017, Leighann moved to Miramar Beach to pursue her career goals in event coordinating and management. She is currently the Events Manager for The Village of Baytowne Wharf. She is excited to give back and be serving on the Young Ambassador Board for the ECCAC.
Whitney Whidden, originally from Alabama, moved to Santa Rosa Beach in 2016 with her husband, JD, and their chocolate lab, Whiskey. Whitney has a degree in Accounting from Auburn University and an MBA from the University of North Alabama. Putting these degrees to good use, Whitney works with accounting and marketing for small businesses. In her spare time, she enjoys running, working out, lazy days on the beach, and spending time with family and friends.
Ta’ki Brown was born in Jackson TN on November 21, 1995. By the age of 21 he decided the life he was living was just not good enough and felt he was destined for much more. On January 24, 2017 he made the life changing decision and enlisted into the U.S Air Force. With his experience it allows him to think fast in crisis situations and carry himself as an innovator. He enjoys reading, traveling, writing poetry and working toward creating a Multimillionaire Company. In his work, Ta’ki has seen the life-changing impact of child-friendly services like those provided by ECCAC. He lives by the powerful quote by Muhammad Ali that Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth. As a Young Ambassador Board member, he looks forward to supporting ECCAC's distinct mission of serving and protecting children in our community.
Alexis was born here on the Emerald Coast, though raised in Northern Virginia. She would return to the area and later graduate from Florida State University in 2013. She has been working for Arbor Wealth Management as a Client Services Manager in Miramar Beach since graduation. Alexis prioritizes making an impact within our community by helping others, especially children, animals, and those with special needs or circumstances. She has consistently volunteered her time and artistic talent over the years for several events benefiting local charities and Hurricane Michael relief. Alexis is enthusiastic about her role on the Celebration Team for the annual Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation and volunteering for other fundraising events including the Sandestin Wine Festival and Eggs on the Beach. Alexis also participates as a board member for the Destin Seminole Club, raising money throughout the year to award scholarships to local seniors wishing to attend Florida State University. She enjoys a life filled with variety and also pursues other interests including fitness, water sports, flying, and traveling. Alexis is eager to make a difference in the lives of many children here in our area by serving as a Young Ambassador for the ECCAC.
Andy Poveda is a native of Niceville and has been in the Destin area for almost 20 years. As a military dependent, Andy has had a unique experience of only living in two cities, including Fayetteville, N.C. In his spare time, Andy will most likely be found on the golf course or spoiling his 2-year-old Boxer, Crew. As a respected student athlete and captain of the Spring Hill College Men’s soccer team, as a freshman, Andy graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management and Marketing from Spring Hill College in Mobile, AL. His studies led him to work at various successful retail stores and prestigious golf courses before proving himself as a Top Seller in the Vacation Rental industry. Andy grossed over 1 million dollars in sales his first year. Andy moved to Little Rock to help his beautiful fiancé, Haley, be a full-time caretaker of a family member. After a year, they returned to Destin, Andy joined Steven Franco to launch the new innovative and collaborative coworking space in Destin, known as Beachworx. Natalie Penney was born in Pennsylvania and graduated high school in Virginia and then followed her best friend to Florida. She is a two time graduate from NWFSC with an A.S. in Criminal Justice and an A.S. in Paralegal Studies. She is currently enrolled to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology.
Natalie is currently a paralegal to Tonya Holman P.A. in Shalimar and also a waitress at Angler’s. Her dream is to go to Law School.
She likes to keep her weekdays busy and save her weekends for family time such as fishing, traveling, and taking advantage of the outdoors.
She is excited to be a part of the Young Ambassador Board. She loves kids and believes they deserve the best support system, especially in times of need.
